You Really Need A Website?

There are many who say you don’t need a website to succeed online. But they are mistaken. Oh you might generate some revenue by placing ads in classifieds and maybe submitting your affiliate link on traffic exchanges. But if you want to compete with the big boys you better build a website and or blog. Actually combine the two for extra added results.

I would shy away form instant websites or websites that give you the ability to make your own website via a template or online editor. In my opinion this is a BIG mistake. You need full control over you online business website or blog.

If money is no object to you…then by all means pay someone to build and develop a web site the way you want it done. But remember you need your own hosting and your own domain name. There at still many .com name extensions available get creative with your domain name.

You might even try using your own personal name as a domain name. Check to see if it’s available any website that offers registering of domain names. I built and developed my own websites. My First website guzmansgreenhouse is about southwestern gardening. I generate revenue from adsense ads and the affiliate links on the site. I also have a large subscriber list. I use this list to correspond with my subscribers.

It took time and patience to get the desired outcome and I still need to edit and maintain it on a daily basis.I do not consider myself brainy by any means, as a matter of fact some say I might be a little dense….could be. The point I am trying to make here is you do not have to be Rhodes Scholar or very techy. However you do need drive, determination and a willingness to never give up. If you have that you will succeed. My second website is about Internet marketing and it is till in development. GoodContentwebsites.

Now you need content

Now you need content for your website. Where do you get it? You get it from your own personal knowledge, from what’s inside your brain. Write about what you know…I can’t stress this enough. You really do not need lots of flashy graphics or heavy javascripts. Just write it down. Use your favorite word processor or get a pen and paper and start formulating what you want to convey to your website visitors.

Getting free traffic

Traffic! Yes just like the street vendor who needs lots of traffic so people can see what they have to offer. If you want a successful website you need traffic…and the best kind of traffic is free. Believe me free traffic is the best.

Write articles about what you know and submit them to article directories. This method is easy and creates lots of traffic to my websites. Social networking web sites are what everyone is talking about.

You can also pay for traffic. I would steer clear of any website or person who says “50 thousand Visitors for $29.99″. I can guarantee you will NOT benefit from the results.

PPC (Pay Per Click) Is better and if done correctly is targeted and can result in better ROI (Return On Investment). I highly suggest doing research before starting a PPC campaign.

SEO for free traffic.

SEO is an abbreviation for “Search Engine Optimization”. I love SEO because the traffic is free. Learn how to optimize your website. Here is how it’s done. I will try to make it as simple as I possibly can.

SEO is a way to make your website or blog appear in the top ten or so position of the Search engines using proper keyword positioning in your HTML. The only Search Engines I worry about are Google, Yahoo and MSN all the rest are small fish in the sea.

Free Marketing Methods To Start Making Money Online

Are you just starting your online business? As a beginner, it is almost always best to start out use free marketing methods. That is because there is a learning process to making money on the Internet. It takes most people a number of months before they start making money online.

They key to making money online is traffic. You have to develop some method of generating traffic. I like writing articles. To be successful using articles you have to write at least one a day. It is better to write two or three a day, but most people cannot do this because they are not working full-time. If, like most people, you can only commit a few hours per week, spend a Saturday afternoon and write 7 articles. Then submit one each day for the following week.

Make sure that each of your articles are all targeted to the products and services that you offer on your website or blog. Include a resource box in each article that provides three links to your website, blog, or products that you endorse. By submitting articles every day, readers will see your name more and more and come to see you as an expert in your field. That is why it is important that all of your articles be in the same niche.

Ideally, diversify your traffic generating techniques. Use free ezine ads as a promotional technique. Few people realize that many ezines will allow you to place one or more free ads if you subscribe to their service. This can be a very effective technique to generate traffic. Do a search and locate twenty to fifty ezines. Go to each site and determine if they allow new subscribers to place free ads. If they do not, move on to the next ezine.

I do not recommend that you jump right into pay-per click programs if you are just starting out. Even if you commit a minimal amount, such as $5.00 per day, it can cost you $400 - $500 before you begin to make any money at all. There is a learning process involved to be successful using PPC methods. Even many seasoned professionals lose at first. You are best served by starting out with free techniques and then try PPC after you have begun to make some money.

3 Tactics Affiliate Marketers Can Use to Make More Money Online

As an affiliate marketer, it is sometimes much easier to make money online. After all, you don’t have to focus on product creation or customer service. Once you build your affiliate website, or sites, then you can simply focus on marketing those sites and then collecting the paychecks.

Although there are many tactics you can use to increase the size of your affiliate paychecks, here are three that will help you quickly boost your affiliate commissions:

These three tactics are:

1. Create a unique page to promote each of the affiliate products that you are selling.

Each page should be optimized for the search engines, and you should write a keyword rich review of the product. Include the product name in the title, as well as in the body of the review. Often searchers will search for a product by name, and this can really help you with your search engine rankings.

Learn as much about the product as you can before you write your review, and buy the product if you can. You’ll write a better review because you’ll know things about the product that the average affiliate doesn’t know. Testimonials from customers, photos of the product, and articles about the topic the product is related to will also help support your review.

Internet searchers also love reviews because it’s a chance for them to find out more about the products they are interested in buying.

Although it’s a lot more time consuming to create a unique page for each product you are promoting, in the long run, it’s a lot better for your business because you have more to offer than the average affiliate.

2. Build a list by giving away free reports.

Most affiliates don’t bother to build a list, and so they have to work harder to get traffic instead of simply recycling the traffic they have. Also, because they tend to use the ads and other promotional materials that the merchant offers, instead of creating their own, they lose their opportunity to be unique and make the sale.

If you can write a short report on your topic/affiliate product, you are way ahead of other affiliates. This is an opportunity for you to offer your potential customers more information, and it also gives them an incentive to join your list.

You benefit because it gives you an opportunity to recycle your traffic by allowing you to send multiple sales messages to your readers. Readers are more likely to buy if they have a relationship with you, and they’ve been exposed to the product offering more than one time.

3. Drive targeted traffic to your website.

The difference between targeted traffic and untargeted traffic is that targeted traffic usually comes from those who are looking for what you have to offer. They are more receptive to buying.

In addition to search engine optimization, you can also write articles to submit for publication on article directories, as well as ezines. Since most ezine directories don’t accept articles with affiliate links in them anymore, it’s crucial that you have your own website.

Try to write at least two articles per week, and make sure they are at least 300 to 600 words. Write and submit consistently as this is the easiest way to ensure a steady flow of traffic to your site.

Although there are many tactics you can use to increase your affiliate commissions, I have found these three to be some of the most highly effective. Although they do take some time to implement, they will help you substantially increase your profits from your affiliate business.

Liberty League International - Is It Real? Is It For You?

If you are reading this it may be because you have been introduced to Liberty League International. You are probably doing your own research as to if you should Join Liberty League or not.

You may have seen on the Internet comments that vary from “Liberty League International Is a Scam” to others that bring out the fact that “Liberty League Is Actually An Incredible Opportunity.”

So who should you listen to?

Well, first of all I believe you should listen to your common sense, but please give me the permission to explore this with you…

Let me lay it all out for you here, because I don’t have any financial interest no matter what you chose to do (remember how over 90% that claim that ‘Liberty League is a Scam’ come from people who offer you another solution… their business opportunity… hmmm, do you think they may have a financial interest by putting down a company so that they can hopefully get you to sign up with their company instead?… hmm, something to think about I guess)

List Building, Network Marketing or Both?

I heard, before I joined an Internet Marketing system, to build your list first. I was anxious and foolish. I didn’t listen. First, I didn’t have anything to offer a list to start with. And second, I didn’t understand the importance of having a list. I spent about $2,000 to join an opportunity which I believed in. I figured I could make a few sales a month and my business would prosper. Boy was I deceived! After spending another $800-1,000 in advertising without making a sale, I was pretty discouraged. I was bouncing checks and paying bills late for months waiting for a break through that never came.

I absorbed myself in Internet Marketing though. I probably spent 60-80 hours a week,for about 10 months, studying on line and listening to audios about Internet Marketing to and from work. I’ve been on 300-500 different Internet marketers list. I probably have over 500 ebooks on Internet marketing. All given to me for free to be a subscriber to an Internet marketers list. If I wasn’t receiving 30-60 sales letters a day from being on those list, I might have had time to read one or two of those books by now. They have come in handy though. When something does stump me, I do have all of those resources and I have learned from them.

It was through being on on those list that equipped me to be able to build my own list. When you’ve been on that many list you know which ones could grow quickly and which ones won’t. 90% offer the same products, whether for free or for sale. So, even as a newbie, you can start your own list. You don’t need unique products, you just need to set yourself apart from the 90% group! In fact, even the 10% group sells a lot of the same products.

So, what’s the difference? Patience, and the willingness to want to train new Internet marketers the ropes. The patient list builder will develop a relationship with you and give you free relevant content before they try to make a sale to you. The majority of them give you a free ebook, which they got for free anyway, along with a sales page ($49 price goes up $20 at midnight!) and then they fill your email box day after day with more sales letters until you unsubscribe. I do have patience though. I’ll usually give them the benefit of doubt and give them a couple of weeks before I unsubscribe.

I’m a faithful subscriber to about 5 or 6 Internet marketers. Because they have patience, they teach me a lot, they even offer free audio and video training. Now, when they are all out there promoting the same things, are you going to buy that $49 product from some one that gave you an ebook that they got for free, or are you going to buy that product from one of the guys that has invested in you? Because when one these guys send me a sales letter, I’ll look it over. They have invested time and training into me, and I owe them at least that. Even if the time isn’t right for me, if the opportunity interest me, I’ll save it and look it over again in the future.

The problem is is you can join one of the Internet Marketing opportunities out there and spend thousands of dollars with out making any sales. There’s a lot of competition out there selling the same products or a different one. The odds are, by the time a person clicks on your ad they have already seen it 5 times in the last hour. You still have to pay $1 or so for each click. It gets very expensive and discouraging when they click and leave. I’m suggesting that instead of investing thousands of dollars, be patient first off, and secondly build a list of people who are interested in Internet Marketing by training them list building. You can produce a great income doing this without sending out a sales page every day. Then when you are lucrative, find an opportunity that you believe in, and offer that to the list you built that you already have a relationship with and sales should follow!

Internet Marketing Tips - You Can Learn From The Super Bowl

Did you watch the Super Bowl? I know not everybody is a sports fan, but if you missed the game, you missed some of the most off the wall marketing that I have ever seen. I laughed harder at some of the ads than I have laughed at TV situation comedies. These guys certainly used their marketing dollars wisely. Not only did they get mass exposure from advertising on the biggest TV stage that exists, but they took advantage of it by putting out a product that just had to make you pay attention. I mean, Charlie Brown, of all characters, ending up with the Coke? Absolutely brilliant.

Okay, so just what is it that you can learn from the Super Bowl? Well aside from the commercials, there was the Tom Petty halftime show. Unlike other halftime shows, this one was really very good. You could actually hear Tom sing, the vocals were clear, the playing was clear, the performance was solid…everything was just perfect. As my wife said, it was actually enjoyable to watch.

That is what YOUR advertising should be. It should be enjoyable to read, whatever kind of advertising you do. And if you do the video thing and submit your videos to YouTube, then you better make sure that the videos you submit are enjoyable to watch.

Marketing is not about giving your prospect a sales pitch. Marketing is about giving your prospect an experience where he doesn’t feel like he’s being sold too. Take the tire commercial where the squirrel is in the middle of the road and almost gets clobbered by an oncoming vehicle. The commercial was a scream. I didn’t feel like I was being sold to. But make no mistake about it…I won’t forget Bridgestone Tires. I’d never even heard of them until the Super Bowl.

That is the brilliance of ads that don’t sell, but entertain. If you can pull that off, then you’ve got a very good chance to sell your product because the prospect won’t feel like you’re shoving your product down his throat. And with effective advertising, you don’t have to be pushy. Some of the greatest ads in the history of TV have been ads that entertained and didn’t sell.

So when you set out to write your next ad campaign, think about entertaining your prospect instead of selling to him.

Internet Marketing Tips - Advertising, What Or How?

So often I preach about how it’s important to use advertising methods that are going to bring you some decent results instead of relying on those that are poor or downright dangerous. But in thinking about this I have come to realize that just the method alone is not going to bring about success if you don’t know how to make the most out of it. This got me to asking the question of this article…what is more important when choosing an advertising source? Is it the source itself, or is it how you use it? Quite honestly, I haven’t come up with a definitive answer for this…yet. But you may still want to read this article. It just might point you in the right direction.

Probably the best way to try to answer this question is by using examples. That way we can best zero in on the answer, if there is indeed an answer. The first example I am going to use is article writing. I have been telling marketers for years that article writing is one of the best methods for getting visitors to your site. It accounts for 67% of my monthly income. But what about the quality of the article itself. While the method may very well be quite effective, how effective would it be if the article was poorly written? Would anybody even bother reading it until the end? If not, then for THAT person, article writing would not be an effective form of advertising. Truth is, they might actually have more luck with a less effective form if they could put it to better use.

Now let’s go to the other end of the spectrum. Let’s take something like traffic exchanges. Traffic exchanges are, for the most part, poor forms of advertising. The reason is because those who surf traffic exchanges are more concerned with watching the timer and getting to the next page than they are in your particular offer. However, I have quite a bit of success with traffic exchanges by utilizing some techniques that I picked up from experts in the field. These techniques have allowed me to build a decent sized opt in list because of them. So for me, traffic exchanges are a good form of advertising, though not as good as article writing.

So where exactly does that leave us? Could it be that the what and the how are equally as important? Could the how outweigh the what if the how is very well crafted? It certainly is food for thought as I know people who have taken the best forms of advertising and literally trashed them while others have taken poor forms and turned them into gold mines.
